Our Mission: To provide Excellence In Christian Education

We invite your child to join our dedicated Christian teachers in an adventure of discovery into God’s world. It will be a time for your child to experiment, and to grow spiritually and physically.

Community United Methodist Preschool is a Christian based program designed to provide an enriching play and learning environment for children ages 2, 3 and 4. Families are encouraged to volunteer in your child’s classroom, on field trips, or any other learning experiences throughout the year. We pray that with your support your child will love preschool.

We are a member of the United Methodist Association of Preschools Florida.

We are currently registering children for the 2008-2009 school year. We have openings in our VPK, two and three year old classes. Please refer to the Registration and Tuition section for information on classes and tuition.

Our Teachers

• Offer the Good News of God’s love in a caring environment.

• Help children develop a healthy personality and positive attitudes and emotions about themselves and others.

• Teach classroom etiquette and emphasize academics and thought concepts when age appropriate so that our students are spiritually, academically, and socially able to succeed in school.

• Increase the child’s skills in listening, self-discipline, conversation, creative self-expression, independent work/play, and decision making.

• Bring years of training and experience to each class.

• Meet the Volusia County training requirements and are committed to nurturing children.

• Are trained in First Aid and CPR.

Classes

We offer the following classes by age groups:

• K-2 (for children 2 years old*)
  Two mornings a week (M/W or T/TH)
  9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  Limited enrollment Ratio: 1-6
   

• K – 3 (for children 3 years old*)
  Three mornings a week (M/W/F)
  Or Two mornings a week (T/TH)
  9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  Limited enrollment – Ratio: 1-6
   

• VPK – Free (for children 4 years old*)
  Five mornings a week (M—F)
  8:30 AM -- 12:00 PM
  Limited enrollment – Ratio: 1-9

*Children need to be this age by September 1st.

All classes are presented in a developmentally appropriate hands-on approach. Classes have a thematic emphasis based on a God-centered curriculum.

All students are encouraged to do their personal best. Small class size allows teachers to work with students in small groups which encourages individual attention in academic areas.

Registration

• Registration begins each year in February for the school year starting in the fall.

• Registration fee for all classes except VPK is $90.00. Registration Fees are Non-Refundable.

• There is no registration fee for the VPK Class.

Tuition

• VPK Program: Free. Must register with the Early Coalition Office.

• Two Day Programs: $125.00 a month.

• Three Day Programs: $180.00 a month.

• All monthly tuition is due by the 10th of the month.
